    June Net Worth 2018

    June 27, 2018

June is now coming to a close so it’s that time of the month for my monthly net worth update! This month I took another vacation and even went camping!

A couple of pictures from my vacation.

    My camping adventure.

    Income

This month I made $2,918 after my contributions to my 401K.  This is actually more than I should get do to dividends from my investments. Hey, I love getting paid money to own a piece of a company!

    Expenses

    Expenses total right at $2,378.

    Savings

This month I saved $2,488 which is right around a 53% savings rate. Really can’t complain about saving 53% of my income this month.

    • $1,888 Traditional 401K
    • $600 Money Market

    Net Worth: $113,332

This is where it gets a little sticky now. My net worth posted on Personal Capital in the sleek graph below is wrong. Still, have some of that crypto that would not link to Personal Capital.

That is a +$2,334 gain since last month net worth update for May was $110,998

    Final Thoughts

This month has been an epic one for me. Got to go on vacation and spend some much needed time with someone special in my life. I also decided to go camping alone on the beach about 3 hours away from where I live. I bought some new camping gear out of my fun money spending bucket. This month had a lot of spending in it, to be honest just due to the vacations. I am now on my 3rd week of limiting my exposure to Facebook. I only will go on Facebook now on weekends unless I’m posting one of my posts to a group which is only on Wednesday if I even post it. Crazy how much more time I have every day now. I have also been very busy making plans for some upcoming courses I have in the military and trying to decide on getting rid of my apartment when I am gone and just putting my stuff in storage. These courses combined are almost 5 months long. That’s a lot of money going into rent when I won’t be here to use my place. I’m 95% sure I will be giving up my place which would be happening in August. So the next month for me will be very exciting and nerve wrecking. I have lost a couple thousand dollars in my investments over the last few days. Yet I don’t let it bother me hopefully it stays low for another week so that I buy more shares on the 1st at a lower price.

Right on David. Looking good in the $100k and savings.

Where was that camping trip? Looks awesome.

I may need to ban myself from Instagram. That is my time suck. Sounds like a good rule.

Could you AirBNB your place while gone?

It was in Pensacola FL, it was very cool. I doubt I could it’s an apartment and the area I live in is very rural and economically challenged.
