    RV Lifestyle Thoughts

For June all normal expenses except for about $35 in misc things. My kitchen sink started to not have great water pressure in it about a week ago. Luckily first thing I did was detach the faucet head and check the pressure without it. Pressure was great so I knew it was the faucet head. A quick Google search and it seems this is common after so many years with faucets. They can start getting build-up inside of them. I tried to do the frugal and sustainable thing and take it apart to clean it. Come to find out you can’t take it all the way apart (I hate this type of design). So I went on Amazon and bought a universal faucet head that looked similar. $14 later and a few days it was at my RV park. It was a quick 30 seconds to screw it on and it works better than before! I also switched out my shower curtain liner with a nice fabric one that now can be washed in the washer. The old one was one of those plastic ones and no matter what I cleaned it with just seemed to look like crap and got dirty so fast. When I did that I also changed out the curtain rings as mine were starting to rust a bit. Found some that are supposed to be anti-rusting. I had those rings for about 4 years so I guess I got my money’s worth out of them. I have spent a lot of time by the ocean and gulf so lots of salt and humidity equals rusting on things. No way around it, you can slow it down but hard to stop it. $35 total is well spent on these upgrades.

I am considering upgrading my shower head as well. Something that I can detach from the wall and hold in my hand. But I am not 100% sure yet if I want to do that. It looks like it’s only around $35 for a new shower head so fairly cheap and it would be nice to have something that I can hold in my hand versus playing the dancing game in the shower lol. If you have never been in an RV shower check them out they are fairly small.

I started to be more intentional with using my RV park pool and gym!! The pool is honestly beautiful and the gym aka “RV Park Prison Gym” is not bad at all.

Overall I am honestly loving this area a lot more than I expected. Just 20 minutes from my place I have this beautiful state park that is close to the beach and it’s roughly 15 miles of stunning trails. Here is an alligator from one of my runs I saw. I typically hit this place up twice a week if the weather is nice. It’s been raining a bit more this last week and I’m not a big fan of running or exploring in the rain.

It’s interesting after all these years of moving and exploring I am now in a position being retired to explore more with my RV and travel more often. But I find myself very content here at my current location. I don’t know if maybe this is a sign that this is a place to think about planting roots. I’ll have to do some more self-reflection on this.

Just another month in the RV adventure life.

In case you missed it here is last month’s breakdown. Keep on the journey and path!
