    April Net Worth 2018

    April 28, 2018

Well, April has been what I call a blah month for the most part. Been super busy at work and have been super sick. I have not written as much as I would like to ether. Overall my finances have been on track this month. I also had the opportunity to do something I love doing and that is helping train Marines!

    Income

This month I made $3,193 after my contributions to my 401K.  This is a little less income than I am used to but that’s because I have increased my 401K contributions. My focus is maxing that 401K out this year at $18,500.

    Expenses

    Expenses total right at $1,792.

    Savings

This month I saved $2,138 which is right around a 50% savings rate.

    • $1,133 Traditional 401K
    • $805 Taxable Account
    • $200 Vacation Fund

    Net Worth: $107,501

This is where it gets a little sticky now. My net worth posted on Personal Capital in the sleek graph below is wrong. Still, have some of that crypto that would not link to Personal Capital.

That is a +$4,523 gain since last month net worth update for March was $102,978

    Final Thoughts

My focus right now on my finances is to max my TSP (401K) at $18,500 by the end of the year. I am now on track to since I have increased my contributions to it. I still believe pursuing happiness and passions is the only option in life. Once we do this everything is rather much cheaper than we ever thought. Too many of us including me have very limiting beliefs that really put us in chains and keeps us from reaching our full potential. I’m now really challenging many of my limiting beliefs on this journey.
