RV Lifestyle Thoughts
This month, I replaced my RV toilet. It started to leak one day but then the next day stopped. I have been considering upgrading to a new nicer toilet for some time so I said fuck it why not. The new toilet was about $267 and I went to Home Depot and upgraded the water connection so it has a shutoff valve at the toilet now. This is nice if you need to work on your toilet you still can have water running to the rest of the RV. The upgraded toilet is a hair bigger, the bowl is porcelain so easier to clean, the seat is wood and it comes with a slow-close toilet lid and seat. The old toilet was all plastic and just felt cheap in general. This new one feels pretty dang luxurious.
I also replaced the loom that covers my solar wiring on the roof of the RV. It was dry rotting from sun exposure over the years. Which is exactly what it was supposed to do, protect the solar wires from the sun and elements.
It’s kind of interesting how much stuff I have replaced and done to the RV in the last 6 months all while I am not sure if I want to keep living in it much longer. It puts me in a position of I’m not sure If I should keep renovating things to make them nicer versus only fixing things when they break at this point. Because I don’t want to put money into making the RV nicer if I am not going to keep it. But I can’t seem to decide if I am ready to go back into an apartment or house just yet.
It’s just another month in the RV adventure life.
In case you missed it, here is last month’s breakdown. Keep on the journey and path!
