    September Net Worth 2019

    October 14, 2019

September has been closed so it’s that time of the month for my monthly net worth update!

This update will be a little different this time. Mainly because I did not budget at all this month. Still trying to get back into budgeting.

I had some fun adventures this month on a few hikes and my bicycle. This month is unique as it has opened the door to so many new changes in my journey. I did not take a bunch of pics unfortunately but I have one to share.

    Income

This month I made $4,964 after my contributions to my 401K.

    Expenses

Expenses total right at $6,304. To be honest I did not budget at all this month and spent like a high-end consumer! This month had a lot of unplanned expenses but I don’t regret some of them.

    Savings

This month I saved $2,240 which is right around a 32% savings rate.  My savings rate has dropped since moving to SD. So far the worst savings rate in my journey! But still not bad when you think about it.

    • $2,240 Traditional 401K

    Net Worth: $195,662

This is where it gets a little sticky now. My net worth posted on Personal Capital in the sleek graph below is wrong. Still, have some of that crypto that would not link to Personal Capital.

That is a +$10,734 gain since last month’s net worth update for August was $184,928

    Final Thoughts

So even though I spent $6K+ this month my net worth saw a fat increase. My spending was twice what It usually is yet I’m still in the positive by more than what many make a month. Why is this some might ask. Simply put I am seeing my hard work starting to pay off. My investments finally have enough to show real gains and loose because of compound interest. This last week I have had a few people ask me how I do it. Funny no one cared when I was only gaining $1,000 or when I only had $50,000 saved up. People want to get rich quick many are not willing to do what I do. I might add I am self-taught and really am not sacrificing anything on this journey. I instead have more than most people and in less than five years will have the freedom of my time! A few big changes this last month. I am now dating an incredible woman who is a financial blogger as well. She is much more famous than me though and a heck of a lot smarter. I have pulled the trigger on a new lifestyle that I am excited to write about in a post to come.

Hopefully everyone get’s inspired by my update!
