    June Net Worth 2017

    June 25, 2017

June was a great month for me. I did spend more than I wanted. I actually spent some money on wants and not really on needs. I stocked up on supplements and some beauty supplies. One thing I’m ok with is spending more money on taking care of myself.

    Income

This month I made $3,394 after my contributions to my 401K. This month I increased my 401K contributions yet still playing around with the idea of putting more in the taxable account. I received income from investments as well.

    Expenses

June expenses total right at $1,854. I spent about $90 on supplements. I also took me like two weeks to decide to buy my face lotion and face wash. The reason is it was about $74 for both. Mind you this is about 4-6 months’ worth. Next month I will reevaluate my budget. I feel the last couple of months spending has been high.

    Savings

This month was a lower saving month for me. I saved $2,106. Which is right around 49% saving rate for the month of June. Now, this is with my 401K contributions as well. So, this month’s breakdown is below.

    • $1,000 Money Market Account
    • $1,106 Roth 401K

    Net Worth: $77,154

Not bad at all was hoping to hit $76,000 this month. That is a $2,809 increase in my net worth from last month. My net worth went up and down this month based on the market and spending.

    Final Thoughts

The last few months have been crazy for me. Have had a lot of expenses I typically don’t see. Still keeping to a good savings rate overall. I’m so surprised I’m still hitting a high savings rate with all my current spending. I think I need to go back to saving for things instead of just cash flowing them. What I mean is if I knew I had to buy something I would slowly save over a few months for it. Now I just cash flow it that month. I also seem to be way ahead of my $85K goal by December.
